    Help with my first 1903

Hello everybody and thank you in advance for any information you might be able to share. I am new to the 1903's and not quite sure what I have here. Is this all correct and unmolested or is there anything special about this one that would increase the value? Anything else I should look for?

    Thanks again!!

...and a Springfield or Rock Island rear sight, pre-WWI.

Thanks for having a look. Yes it does have the RLB inspection stamp. I figured the rear sight had been replaced but it does still have an R on the windage knob.

What type of RLB? In a "box", "bare" or with the letters spread apart (R L B)?

That's the "spread" RLB and correct for your rifle. Here's a picture of the "boxed" variety, which came earlier. The earlier "bare" variety looked the same, but without the box.
