Hello Everyone,
I'm new to this site, sо I'm still trying to figures how things work here... I need help to identify a carbine of Mauser system... It should be modified military carbine, in that way to be hunting rifle. Here some pics of rifle and pics of proof marks... Can somebody help me to identify proof marks, and model and manufacturer of rifle... Caliber of rifle is 8x57mm... Proof marks: "lxr" on cartridge clip, second is something like W and crown over it, but W with round edge and tails like old texts. And there is something that look like F in circle or T in it. Thanks...

Well, I see what appears to be an Imperial acceptance mark...can we see a pic of the top of the receiver?

lxr on the follower plate is the Nazi-era code for Dianawerk, Rastatt, known as a supplier of components.

This is a commercial rifle, made up from a mix of Mauser components + new barrel and sights + new stock.

1) As already stated, lxr on the follower plate is the Nazi-era code for Dianawerk, Rastatt, known as a supplier of components.

2) The "Fraktur" stamp is imperial.

3) The sights are non-military.

4) The barrel profile is non-military. Military Mauser barrels have a stepped profile.

5) The thin, flat, turned-down bolt handle is non-military.

6) The stock is commercial. The comb on a military Mauser does not reach far enough forwards to create the profile shown here.

It is therefore not possible to identify this rifle as a military Mauser of any kind.
