    Type 99 dust shield question

I came across a nice dust cover on a beater type 99 rifle. I tried to install it on my 99 paratrooper but the bolt can not be pushed forward enough to rotate down in the closed position. An ideas? Thanks in advance.

Could be a slight difference in the size of the bolt. Check to see if the cover is binding on the bolt handle when you are trying to close the bolt.
