    Scratched on type 99

Just bought a Type 99 at a local action and after I got it, I noticed three "Js" scratched on the stock. The "Js" are written and just after that is,"DNES or ONES". Strange that the old owner would have three "Js" as initials and I do not have a clue what "DNES or ONES" would mean. Any guesses?

I have a relative that's named after his father, grand father and two great grand fathers. All starting with D, including his last name. I have a good friend who's initials are 3 K's and once worked with a fellow named J.J. Jones.
