    French Adrian helmet question?

What can anyone tell me about this helmet? It looks to be a fresh out of the wood work and an untouched helmet and I picked it up at a show last week. Would you call it a M26 or a M36 model Adrian helmet? Also is it war time, late war or into post war? There's no date on the liner or shell and on the reverse of one liner finger is the ink stamp "58" , that I assume is the liner size, and below that is stamped "FABRA, then under that is LA CANDURGUE" probably the manufacture of the liner. Anything anyone can tell me about the helmet would be appreciated. Thanks, Ray

Yes, the size is 58...that's big I think...7-1/8th if I'm right...just a bit tight for me. As for which pattern, stand by...they'll be along...

That is the M26, post WW1, used all the way thru WW2. Khaki color generally means colonial troops, but I think they started painting all of them khaki in the 30s. ( early Adrians were blue for the Frenchicon army )

Check this site out if you want to learn about Frenchicon helmets I just found. It shows all the French helmet particulars, what a great site.

It looks like the helmet is post WWII. Ray
