He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose
There are no great men, only great challenges that ordinary men are forced by circumstances to meet.
No doubt in my mind that's Korea...sure looks like a well ridden M1he has there. Lots of minor stock dings.

The obvious desert conditions had me guessing it was a training establishment somewhere in the American Southwest
Well to me that looks like a Pershing Tank which would put the period in the 50's

Yes, I saw that...

The eyeglasses on the radio man look 50sish.
Well, those are called Hornrims I think. They were still issuing those in the '70s. Mind you, there were still thousands of brand new M1clips out on the 13th Div prairie in Ft Lewis Wa at that time too...

I have no clue Jim. As a guess, judging from the tank (not a Sherman), the glasses, the field jacket on the RTO, and the desert looking terrain, I'd say somewhere from ~1956 to ~1960. I really don't know American equipment. I generally know it when I see it, but I'm not an authority by any road.
I actually thought the tank was an M48. Link: m48 tank - Bing Images
