A friend of mine, a broadcaster, was slated to go with the first wave as a communications specialist. He was all of a sudden pulled and went in after it was secured. He ended up kind of stranded on the island for the duration after it became a backwater, and couldn't quite understand why. When he got stateside he eventually pulled his records and found an order from a superior officer that he was not to be put in excessive danger. That hacked him off!
