    No.4 Mk.1 Sights Question

I've only ever seen pics of No.4s with the Mk2 sights in WWII images. Did the Mk1 and Mark3 sights see service in the war as well?

And the MkII's vanished when Peter?

As surplus....lots of LB 1942 guns here still have the mk2 sights. I'd assume many were never replaced by NZicon armourers? (Peter?)

The Mk2 sight was only ever obsolescent and not obsolete. That means we don't re-order WSE but while they are serviceable, they remain in service!

Oddly enough, when I was in the CCF (Combined Cadet Force) at school, I never saw a Mk.2 sight - in fact I don't recall seeing a Mk.3 either. However later (being me) I took an interest in what the ACF (Army Cadet Force) were armed with and that is when I first saw Mk.2 sights "in the flesh" as it were.
