The tank in this image is an M4A4 with lengthened composite hull (cast bow, welded plate hull), to accommodate five six-cylinder engines. Production: 7,499 all produced with 75mm main gun. Soldiers are standard G.I. type doing what G.I.'s do, which in this image is waiting for the minefield to be cleared. Photographer prudently staying back at ground level.
