    Tough looking crew. Heroes all.

    I'm struck by how poorly the camouflage pattern of their uniforms blends with the jungle. The foliage tends to be linear and elongate and the pattern is splotches. Suitable for temperate woods with broadleaved plants but contrasting with the jungle.

    The balding guy in the center looks a little old for that kind of work. On the other hand, my father was 35 when he was drafted.

    It definitely is a younger man's game. At 35, I was mid stride. No breakdowns yet. That was a while ago though. Couldn't imagine now...thing is, I could serve to age 60. Two more years of that...can't imagine.
