p***p going crazy! Type 2 and 3 band marks are evident. Heck, you can buy a good carbine for that much!

Holy mackerel! $689.00 for a stock, my Saginaw M1icon Carbine only cost me about $700.00 total.

Yes, but yours may not have been made in Grand Rapids. Even though that stock had some problems, it also has quite a few strengths. Being a "highwood" with the S'G' ordnance acceptance raises the ante quite a bit. It could turn up in an on-line auction for an "original" Irwin Pedersen or S'G' carbine in the near future - stranger things have happened! - Bob

It's still not worth that much though. It's going to have to be totally redone finish wise which will still hurt its value down the road probably, but not definitely. Like I mentioned the type 2/3 marks are very clear on the nose of the stock. Most serious collectors turn their noses up when the stock has the later type band marks on it. I bet the person that bid on this stock ruined his kids Christmas!

That's what we were asking in the first place. Someone may have grandiose plans for this one. We'll see...
