    Thumbs up

What is with your avatar? You're to young to have played with the Corsair in real life.
I do dearly love that big bent wing bastard! I spent 3 yrs in a Corsair (F4U-4) squadron.

Sarge, Harlan is associated with the Confederate Air Force Dallas Fort Worth (CAFDFW) hence his old username, cafdfw, here at milsurps. He has worked on restoring a number of old WWII fighters and bombers. Flown in more than a few as well. And what makes you think Harlan isn't old?

As for the "old" bit - his info/avatar says he's 56, that is not even close to "old." Hell, I've been a life member in the Confederate Air Force almost that long - 40 yrs.
As for the restoration/flying in war birds how about restoring the JU 52 (also crewed it for its first Airshow) and working on several others including a couple of my favorites - Corsairs.
I've also got 3 jumps out of Texas Raiders (CAF B 17).
    Next question?

Ha ha Bill! You're only as old as you feel! (I'm about 105 this week!)

Thanks for filling Sarge in - I just got back to this thread. I've been in the CAF for 15 years, and I was very active for the first ten.

I see that Sarge is a LIFE MEMBER in the CAF! That is awesome! The CAF is a very worthwhile endeavor and is completely non-profit.
