Well I hope I did the pictures right, many were to large. I wasn't sure where to post this so if I did something wrong, let me know so I will not do it again. I wanted first to let all members take a look first as someone could be interested. Thought that to be a great idea. In a week, it will then go on Gun broker as I had it up on the wall for 10 years and that's just not right. I put the very small dents on the stock so it was just shot twice at the range. Man are these nice shooters! I will have better pictures and it does not have a import marking on it. Thanks to all!

Nice looking rifle, it should sell without a problem...

That stock number is evidence of Danishicon rebuild... even when the original stock remained with the rifle, they renumbered the serial on the bottom.

    Bob,
I have had hundreds of these Italianicon stocks and still own many and everyone from Breda and PB were with the serial# on underside matching the side numbers. I never had one without. I had other stocks that were not original to the rifles marked on the underside that were not side marked. From all I have seen they stamped the numbers on underside at the build point. Have you found originals without underside numbers??? Rick Bicon

Thanks to everyone. This has the matching numbers stamped twice on the stock. I've also attached some more pictures but I hope to take better ones. It has the RSC barrell 1955 stamped on it and I guess the danish crown. It will make someone I think very happy in years to come. It was just cleaned and oiled. Thanks for looking and your comments.

    Numbers

"Have you found originals without underside numbers"

IIRC, yes, and mismatched ones, too. I wouldn't trust my memory to bet my life on it, but I think this one had no number. In addition, the underside numbers are so fresh they have to be Danishicon. I do recall US stocks numbered underneath.

Thanks for offers gents, but I think it's sold. The wife has made a deal. Will be putting up some pictures of a matching K98icon later this month. Thanks for all the great info that everyone shares with each other too. That's passing history and knowledge on as it should be.
