No4 MK2

Just picked up a No4 MK2 in the wrap last night....it's going to stay that way as I have others as new but out of the wrap. It's a 54 PF series serial # not a UF. Fellow had opened up the wrap just enough to verify serial number. The last time I unwrapped one was years ago when Century Arms was still operating out of Montreal. It came with matching bayonet and scabbard.....I can't remember if that was under the wrap at the muzzle end. This one is quite bulky in the packaging there and I assume that's what it is. At the butt end it feels quite bulky as well, is it possible there is a sling under there? Has anyone unwrapped one lately and if so what did you find? Regards and thanks for your input.

The rifles weren't wrapped at Fazakerley with slings or bayonets. The slings and bayonets weren't made at Fazakerley! The rifle is a single unit or as we called it, a UOI or Unit of Issue

A human being has a hard time getting an x-ray in a local hospital here....could you imagine how long it would take for my No4MK2!!!!!!!

Surely............ No need for anything else. All you need to know is that if it is original, as from Fazakerley, then it won't have anything else inside the UOI wrapping! If it has, it's been unwrapped and repackaged

I had many of those rifles in the mid to late 90's and early 2000's. I bought them direct from Century Arms who imported the majority of them. I even had a couple of consecutive numbered sets. New in the wrap No.9Mk.1 bayonets and No.5Mk.1 scabbards were included but loose in the boxes with the rifles. When I bought a few hundred South African owned No.4's from Interarms via a big distributor in SC in the 90's, they had sealed boxes of 10 each, new No.9Mk.1 bayonets with them but no scabbards.
