Distinguished Rifleman 1966
President's hundred 1965
Marine Corps. Cup 1965
Yes, they're scarce but yes, that's a lot of money...it IS nice though.

Sounds like a typical antique dealer: "I don't know anything about it but I'll take $495!"
I believe that is sort of spin off of a M1943 sling??? Looks like a reproduction too. The weave just isn't right to me. Never have I seen a web M1907.

It's a free market. If anyone wants to pay as much for a sling as I did for an all-matching 1943 Garandin good shooting condition, then I have a lot of stuff I could sell them and laugh all the way to the bank.
I think the consensus of opinion is that the sling is a fantasy item. Every one that I have seen was in unissued condition. The colors will vary slightly.
Hayes Otoupalik had a case of these but for a BAR . I bought one . They were $25 IIRC. The military wanted a web sling to replace the need for leather . Made prob'ly between wars as there was a BAR version , but not adopted . I don't think I've ever seen one in a period photo .

Thought that was what you meant.
