    Longbranch 44 Enfield ?

    I actually am not sure Exactly what i have here

    Its something i just acquired "Along the Way"

    It does look likes its been refurbished
    as there are "ghosted" marks

    So i am soliciting Comments and Commentary

    Ultimately what is the Approximate Value +/-

    What you have is a No.4 Mk.I* manufactured by Longbranch in 1944 and then FTR'd ( Factory Through Repair) at Fazakerly, in 1948. At that time, whatever may have been wrong with the rifle was repaired.

    Guide rib looks to have pieces chipped off either side of the release notch.

    It ain't gonna blow up I wouldn't think. The chipping will just cause the bolt head to jump track. More of an annoyance than a danger.
