Any idea what the story was behind this picture? All seem to be looking up with some nervous expectation. I wonder what they see?

Takes a lot of dicpline not to drop the Kodak and pick up an M1 icon

when the lead is in the wind. Brave lads.

It wouldn't be in his discipline to pick up a rifle. He would likely be a civilian and not a combatant...I think...
