Not sure where to post this. I have a K43 that my dad sent home from WW2, he was an MP. The story he told us was they same across a train with boxes of these rifles, he sent one home, the rest they stuck the barrels under the rails and bent them. When he mailed it home it had the scope but that never made it. He sent cameras and SS horse blankets home that also got rerouted. He sawed the butt stock and added a rubber pad, I added wood and put on a repo buttplate. The sight hood, sling, and cleaning rod are repos also. I had a shooters kit put on so I wouldn't damage it when firing. I have a repo scope and mount too. I took it apart today and noticed that there are very few parts numbered. Is that normal? On the K98icon almost everything was marked. These are the marked parts, I seem to remember the locking lugs were stenciled with 97 but I can't make them out now.
