    My daudeteau dovitis Mauser

Hey everyone. As I kind of eluded to a friend of mine bought a daudeteau dovitis Mauser three years ago for $90 at a very small gun show here. I've chased after that gun for three years and finally last month he decided to sell it. I was first on the scene to buy it and after talking it over with him I gave him $200, some period correct fake signed Japaneseicon flags he wanted, and a japanese type 90 navy shell that had been reworked by Thailand. Now finally after three years the rifle is finally mine and it looks as good as the day I first saw it. Hope you all like it too.

And if you do shoot it, let us know! I've had one mouldering away with such intentions for a while. (Not that it's the only one. Good intentions and all that.)

I'll get it shooting eventually. For now it is a perfect museum quality piece to display. The bore is almost pristine and the condition of the brass is excellent. One of the older collectors I have befriended has two dovitis mausers and he makes his own ammo to shoot in them. He told me if I ever needed ammo for it just to come see him and he would make me a couple hundred rounds that eventually I could reload for later.

Very nice condition and not often seen unless they look like a tomato stake.
