1943? Thought this was a 1940/41 contract. Perhaps some other guys could chime in on this. They are all very nice and do bring high dollars.

As far as I know there are '37 Ports and "41 Ports. Those were the two contracts with Mauser Oberndorf. Some of the Portuguese marked '41 rifles were requisitioned by the Germans and were issued and saw action. There are quite a few '41 Ports in Canadaicon, about the only German made K98icon's that you can regularly find. To me it would be worth that if it is on the minty side with matching bayonet . They don't command the prices of the regular German marked k98's in Canada. My 2 cents.

The nice ones are minty. Not sure about this one, a 1943 Port? Price at high end, but only if minty. I should guess you could do better at a gunshow.
