6.64 million serial range Inland , made w bayo lug?

Would an Inland carbine in the 6.64 million serial range and a 12-44 barrel date have been built with a bayonet lug?

More than likely, yes. Barrels usually pre-date built on date by a month or more. I think around 6.3 Million is where the Type III band was started. Should have one of these: AI, H.I., JI, KI, SI

I agree. I own a M1A1icon Original Inland 6422xxx with Inland 12-44 barrel and type 3 AI band. John

Inland started to use the type 3 band in November 1944 in the 6.3 million range. The M1A1icon carbines were the first to receive them and any left over went to the normal production. This increased each month as production of the type 3 bands increased. It wasn't long before all production had the type 3 band. By the time the type 3 band came into use the barrel and receiver production was on an even footing and most receivers got barrels dated the same month they were made.
