    Question about British armoury markings

Are these still in use? A friend of mine, knowing my Anglophilic tendencies, asked me what the correct armoury markings for an L105A1 (Sig P226) would be, so if anyone knows I would greatly appreciate the answer...

There probably wouldn't be ANY armoury markings as such. Ours were just bog standard, secured up with a white 'butt number' painted on the grip to make for simpler counting and booking out/in.
