    Enfield No1 Mark2 parts

I am in need of a front sight retaining screw for the Enfield No1 Mk2 pistol. I have owned this revolver for many years and after handling it recently, decided that it would be a 'hoot to shoot'.

The double action is the smoothest and fastest of any handgun I have ever tried. The cartridge will probably feel almost like a .22. Could be fun; however I need to be sure that the front sights won't fly off. I have tried Sarco and Mumrich with no luck.

    Any ideas?

I assume you mean No2 Mk1? I have a 1943 Albion mk1** and the sight blade is held in with a rivet

Yes of course, that is what I mean. My fingers are just not coordinating well with my mind. Possible to forward a photo of yours?

    Thanks!

No sweat. My mind takes short holidays too, sometimes (as do my fingers).

If anyone knows where I will be able to find that front sight screw, I would appreciate the information.

I was thinking of the firing pin being held on with a pin/rivet, because I thought that I might have to replace mine at one point.
I have had a pretty extensive search too and cannot find any for sale currently either. Perhaps Capt Laidlericon will comment on what to use as a replacement, when he comes online in the morning. Maybe a very narrow nut and bolt with blue loctite would be enough?
I shoot commercial Magtech 38S&W (146gr lead round nose) through mine. It is not as soft as .22, but is pretty easy going on the recoil. I was happily surprised at the accuracy and grouping at 10-20 yards. I like the DA trigger and find it easier than the DA on my Taurus 66 and HK P30 - not bad for a 70 year old gun!

It is a standard UKicon type BA thread but not sure exactly which one. If someone has the thread size handy I'll turn you one up!
