Dies for .380 ACP/9mmk

Apologies if this has been asked before but there are so many conflicting post on the www.

I have a spare set of Lee 9mm Parabellum dies and want to know if it is possible to set them up to reload .380/9mmk.

The reason is I have several 9mm Para pistols but only the one 9mmk, a Walther PP, through which I do not put many rounds. I also have 100 bukshee 9mmk bullets that I'd like to use up on the Walther.

They each use separate dies. The .380 uses lighter bullets. Here's drawings to compare. Pilfered locally...

That diameter and taper difference is critical.

Go with the proper dies for each cartridge. The extra dollars pay for a certain amount of peace of mind along with a new die set, which processes each specific cartridge properly.

This also prevents embarrassing incidents resulting from forgetting to "reset" before reloading a different type.

My Lyman .380 dies did sterling service for me for quite some years. I do not now own a .380, but, because a few friends have them, they stay in my die cabinet. If you plan to reload by the bucket-load, get Carbide die sets.
