Nothing like touching freezing metal with bare hands. However it could be the adrenaline is pumping as in an anticipated action. Ray

How did they get a post war carrying handle back onto a '43 BAR ?

Must be January of 1953 as the T4 carry handle wasn't adopted until December 1944.

And believed never made it to the field . At least , last I heard , there was no photographic proof of it being out there . There was one picture so claimed , but uniform details led it to be post war training picture.
