My Ross cadet

Hi,
this is my latest addition, a Ross Cadet 1914 serie D
I try to disassemble and its a bit hard. Every pieces seems to be glued to the stock, obviously, this rifle never received love in 100 years, but its never too late ! lol
So far, Ive been able to move the nose cap and removed the trigger guard but I can't even move the stock.
Any smooth method I can use to separate that stock from the barrel/receiver ??

Is that lower swivel screwed into a hole inside the wood, into the metal?

Oh very nice. A military cadet, with nice crisp markings. C-broad arrow plus cadet corps markings. Is the stock intact at the wrist. Many were broken there, deliberately, it appears.

Great little rifles. Mine is a commercial example, so no markings, but I enjoy it nonetheless

sorry for late reply.
yes I didn't pay attention to that middle sling swivel so I screwed it out and was able to remove the stock easily, thanks for your advise.
I removed the dirt from the stock using denatured alcool and oil the metal. No reblued, no BLO, nothing. All remain original and this little Ross is in great condition for her age

Hi,
Guess i'm lucky Ive just Acquired another Ross 22 same pattern 1912 but this one dated 1913. Lots of DP stamps (2x on the stock and 2x on the barrel) rifle missing extractor, the nose cap's screws and the screws at the trigger house are not the proper ones.
Looking for the missing parts if anyones can help , I would appreciated. pm me

I may be able to help you out--let me look in the next day or two as I seem to recall I have a Ross Cadet action with a broken bolt handle and the stock was trashed, but the other metal bits are I think ok. I hung onto it for a rainy day, and perhaps the rain is currently in Ontario.

Nice, nice little guns. I've shot them during a speed competition at our club and they perform admirably...very nice pair.
