    Pj laminated carbine stock

I have a PJ walnut stock (war time replacement) that is laminated in two equal pieces longitudinally down the center line. I have never seen or read about a longitudinal splice. Any info ??

I will post pics as soon as my son helps me ( several days or more). I am not too skilled with a comp--- better with a slide rule, beta machine & Chinese abacus ! This walnut splice runs the entire length of the stock & appears to be done in the PJ plant (whoever that is) as it is a hairline neat bonding of two pieces of walnut. The splice is most noticeable UNDER the forward grip section where slightly different grains are noticeable--- the seam is rubbed smooth in the rear pistol grip area but noticeable in the comb area.

My understanding is that the PJ stocks were made by Pedersen under contract to Jewel Brothers, makers of the J marked stocks. Would like to see the pictures, too!

Does it have any brass pins in the stock?
