Krags from the closet.

Hello All,

These were in the closet with the Snider-Enfield from the earlier post. The only milsurp I have any limited knowledge on are Lee Enfields, beyond that I can maybe identify a Krag, Garand, etc... but even that is touch and go. I don't currently have these files on the computer I'm using so I'm posting the link to flickr where they are stored:

As far as I know they have been in storage for about 30 years. They're not in excellent condition (notice the mods), with some missing parts and having been sporterized. I'm interested in learning as much about them as possible. The dates on the rifles seem to be well after the '03 Springfield replaced the Krag in US service.

I've been tasked with selling them for a friend as well so any suggestions as to value would be appreciated as well.

'Drift' - Your two sportered rifles are Norwegian Krags (6.5X55mm). The one with the rear-sight set back near the receiver-ring is the remains of a model 1912 carbine. Value is hard to guess because parts are apparently missing, bore condition unknown, and they are modified.

If they have useful shooting potential, I'd say they are worth around $200 as 'sporters' or parts donors.
