16-032 Garand Picture of the Day

One of the signs of the Border Patrol road block is on the American-Russain
Zone line in the vicinity of Hof, Germanyicon. At points such as this the
Constabulary will erect road barriers along this line and closely supervise
any persons or vehicles crossing the boundary. The checkered hut in the
background is the Russianicon guard hut and the vehicles in the foreground are
property of the 28th Constabulary Sq, who will officially take over the
Border installations on July 1, 1946. NARA 247672

Didn't some lawyer in Los Angeles used to have an M8 that was his daily driver?
