May 43 receiver with 9/42 barrel?

I am going to look at a very nice 03A3 but the dates between the barrel(9/42) and receiver(5/43) seem to be farther apart than I would expect. Is this possible or was this more likely put together?
    Thanks,
    Bob

To my knowledge, there were no 9-42 M1903A3 barrels. I suspect a M1903 tube. Almost certainly a put-together. Normal date range would be in the 2-43 to 5-43 range, probably closer than that.

It's a 9/43 barrel, still seems like it's put together as it has a replacement stock. It's a nice stock and I'd guess a CMPicon replacement but no markings at all. At $700 I am going to pass.

    Thanks for you help!

Your original post said 9-42 and that was what I was responding to. I believe a 9-43 barrel would also be a replacement.
