    Early Receiver Part II

I was able to turn that receiver into a functioning rifle, so I thought I would share the finished product.

Nice looking rifle. I have sn 63282 which also has the extra narrow rib on the left side, those extra ribs did not last much longer in production. My barrel is S-A 9-40 with the rare revision 3, most 1940 barrels from July to Dec were
either revision 2 or revision 4. My bolt is a revision 2 heat lot X 1 which came from a 61K rifle from Calif years ago. Very difficult to restore any gas port 1940 rifle nowdays

Hard and expensive, I was much happier making it a shooter. Maybe in the future I'll try.
