Had a co-worker that served in Viet Nam at some point he was on the water with a quad fifty.
Being a relatively peaceful day boredom set in whilst touring the back waters.
Towards the later part of the day a suspicious object was found in the water approaching their craft.
Careful observation revealed it to be a water buffalo.
After further review and discussion it was determined that the water buffalo in question was coming from the north thus it was a north Vietnamese water buffalo.
In dire need to test the quad fifty they let loose.

largest chunk left was soft ball size
They reported a successful engagement with the enemy and an estimated body count for the evening box scores
