    Help in Identifying a M1 stock

    I bought this Stock with a Unmarked Type 2 BB. There's nothing my Books or The Website. Has anyone has seen thee marks and can you Please let me know what they were put there for. The one inside the Stock is 26 or 2G and the one by the Sling Well is S over 3 over 56. Please if you have any information could you Help me out. Thank You

    It's a Winchester stock. It's reasonably common to see markings in the trigger housing well where the 26 or Z6 looking is.

    The numbers outside of the sling well mean nothing to the stock and were added sometime after it was made.

    If you want to confirm that it is a winchester stock, take off the butt plate. Winchester stocks have 3 holes.
    When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!
