Oiler Slot Redo

We have all saw this kind of oiler slot. It is so easy to install your oiler and sling once you know how. But people get impatient and pull out the knife and hack away.

What if you put a few pins in to make it look like an older fix????????????
Just a thought.
I never did send you my M1a1 stock to be fixed, I sold it to pay for a new roof.
