    M1 Garand headspace

I'm not about to attempt this but how does one headspace a Garandicon in 30-06? Anyone know who could do it? Thanks

The proper way is to remove the extractor and ejector and then use field gauges.

I had the same problem with one of my M1icon rifles after rebarrel. My suggestion is, take the rifle to a real gunsmith and have it done. That is the safe way of doing this type of work.

Check the headspace, or set the headspace as part of a rebarrel? If it is the former, Claven2 has described the procedure. If it is the latter, its somewhat more complicated, and best done by someone with the equipment and experience.
