    Dumb mistake; good outcome; :>)

I really like my RCBS vibratory cleaner. When I first unpacked it 25 years ago, I made a note to always replace the rubber grommet/nut on the spindle, assuming I'd never replace it if lost.

Went to use cleaner the other day day; lid was off and rubber thingie missing. Spent 4 days looking for it. Blamed loss on wife, kid, dog, Saddam, cleaning lady, Obama, Willard Scott, etc. Been running it without the lid, noisily, to the complaint of entire household.

Looked at it just now and noticed the nut/grommet had rotated down the spindle into the walnut shells.

How do I apologize to the NBC weather guy?

    tumbler

shouldn't you blame the real reason for your discomfort? In your heart, you know you are being paid back both for your profession, and choice for president.
In my case, since i consistently loose the "little rubber thingy" on the two dillon vibrating tumblers I have, it means driving down bell road to Mr. Dillons where they have them for about 2.70 a washer, to replace them, which i regularly do.

Ron, I do see some progress here. Notice the list of the folks who were initially blamed? Rick

    Reloading forum gone political

CSPicon Reloading Bench was the one forum I could post and not hear lawyer jokes in response.

    Oh, where are the Culvers?

Shouldn't have brought the same name over here.

    Milsurp is treating us well,though.

    Thanks Milsurps.

Ron and I might refrain from the lawyer bashing but we will require some concessions. Rick

Rubber Gromet? What Rubber gromet? I have been running one for a few years and it is LOUD. Where do I get one, and where does it go on the vibrator?

My Lyman Turbo Pro is kind of loud too. A cardboard box over it makes it tolerable. In another room with a closed door works well too.
Blame the dog though. He doesn't care and will be happy to see you anyway. Dogs have really big shoulders, so they do.

Watch the cardboard box over it. It needs to breathe to stay cool. You shouldn't run it on carpet either. I had a motor catch fire on one. Do you know how much fire all that plastic and media can make?? Luckily I had a detector very near, but by the time I pulled on shoes and got to the basement, there were 3 ft' flames right in front of my bench which had powder stored in it.
All the damage was to the tumbler and my shorts, but a good lesson learned.
