SA Garand with sn on stock

Walked into a local pawn shop yesterday and on the rack was a nice garand.

Did not get any photos but looking for info on stock stamped SA sn 2,340,xxx that matched the receiver. receiver was light gray in color. Stock had a cut-out for a Danishicon brass ID disc in the grip heel, no P inspection stamp, PB rear sight, VAR barrel, SA bolt & RIA in a box marked stock with a new Turner sling. No other visible markings.

Any comments will be appreciated, wondering if there is anything special about this garand or if it is just typical of a Danish return.
Have it on hold for a couple of days while I try to find more about it.
Searched the forum on Danish returns but did not see any posts on matching stock sn's.

    Thanks in advance.

It's most likely a Danishicon return that was originally sold via the CMPicon. The serial number on the stock is indicative of Danish service as are the Beretta parts as they got M1icon Rifles and spare parts from Italyicon as well. The Danish VAR barrels are also noted for outstanding quality. Reads like a very nice rifle.

Thanks Brian, That was what I suspected but the full SA matching sn on the stock had me wondering if it might be something unique. I will post some photos when I pick it up.
I already have one Danishicon Garandicon with a VAR barrel & you are correct, they are extremely accurate.

I still have a Danishicon owned, Springfield 1,688xxx as received from CMPicon many years ago. It's got the numbered buttstock, VAR 6-60 dated replacement barrel and mixed parts. Does your first one have the numbered butt?
