He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose
There are no great men, only great challenges that ordinary men are forced by circumstances to meet.
Dave was providing security at a road block manned by State Police... a car with six black guys pulled up and the Statie demanded license and registration. The driver began to give him a torrent of abuse sprinkled with MFs. The trooper yanked him out and backhanded him across the mouth... his head snapped back and teeth flew. Dave thought the cop must be the strongest guy in the world, but when he asked him, the trooper smiled and said, "Nah, it's a sap glove." Leather glove with lead shot sewn into pockets on the back of each finger.
Real men measure once and cut.
I have to conclude from your post you think the ""Statie" Troopers action was appropriate and funny? If he had been one of my Maryland State Troopers and I had obsevered what you described I would have arrested my own Trooper.![]()

Way different time now. Back then, I doubt any supervisor would have said a thing. Sad though what we, as a country, have done to our citizenry.
