It does look like today's photography ....I couldn't find caption anywhere about it. Oh well I just thought it looked good.

Kragluver is correct. It's a photo from the mini-series "The Pacific". The actor on the right with the M1 Carbine in his right hand is Joseph Mazzello. You all should remember him. He played the little boy in the first Jurassic Park film.
