1950 Long Branch Rifle - Consecutive Numbered

Rifles were listed individually by the seller. One posting had slightly different title and was almost missed.

The pictures were before linseed oilicon, colours are now darker and uniform across the lot. They were dry as popcorn.

    More Info Please

Can you tell us a bit more about how you found these, where they came from etc. Sorry if I missed the info in an earlier thread.

There was a crate of 4 consecutive numbered LB #4's sold on Gunbroker a couple of years ago in crate. iIRC they went for just over $5k for the 4.

These were originally listed on one of the online auction sites. Gunbroker IIRC, it was a several years ago. The group that Newcastle mentioned was a different lot, no crate with these.

I see the import marks at the muzzle now, I can't even imagine they went out, came back and still stayed together...

Seem to remember the seller told me these were out of an estate. My guess is they were part of the collection for a long time and were purchased in the crate. Back then crates were just crates and probably used for firewood.
