    Help IDing this rifle

    Hello,

With some help of the internet, I've been able to identify this rifle as a sporterized Kragicon, although I honestly can't tell much more about it, not being a gun buff, and having this being passed to me by my grand mother... Maybe you guys can give me more information on it? It seems to a model manufactured in Norwegia, stamped date says 1923, but I've read somewhere that it doesn't necessarily indicate the model number itself.

So what can be known about this rifle?

Koenigsburg Krag...caliber 6.5x55? Maybe 8mm...not sure. Sights have been replaced with Marbles, commonly done. Wood missing...fully sporterized. Follow this link down to the Norvegian Krag – Jorgensen carbine, M1894/12. Modern Firearms - Krag – Jorgensen rifles (Denmark / Norway / USA)

    Welcome to the forum.
    Regards, Jim

    Thank you Jim!

Quick question, I've seen people requesting lookup for serial numbers, are the databases required to make such lookup easily accessible? What if I wanted to look for the S/N of this particular one?
