    Sporterized low numbered 03

I would like some opinions on returning my sporterized low number 03 to military configuration. It has a shortened military stock. I have a A1 "C" stock and all the necessary hardware. My question is, as far as value is concerned, is it worthwhile to change it or just leave it as is.

Even if the metal has not been drilled, refinished, or welded, there is little economic value in making the change. Most of the value would be in the parts that you hang on it, especially the C stock presuming it is a USGI stock. A C stock wouldn't be chronologically correct for a low number rifle and would limit the value even more. My opinion only. good luck.
