What .22 pistol to host a suppressor?

My GM-22 arrived and it needs a host. I looked at the Ruger 22/45 Lite and ruled it out. I am leaning toward a Ruger Mk3 only because I like the feel of the grip. It doesn’t have to be a semi-auto. A single shot would be fine. The quieter, the better.

Can any of you recommend a good .22 host pistol?

    This is the GM-22.

Of course you can't the Ruger, but how about the S&W SW22? And it's already threaded.

For the quietest , it would have to be a single shot or a manual repeater to get rid of the action noise . I'd look at a T/C Contender or something similar .
For fun , though , the sky's the limit . I have a couple of Sparrows in ATF jail right now and I have a Colt /Walther .22 1911 with the proper nut , a S/W AR15-22 , and , now , a couple of nuts for the two Thompson FAs with .22 kits in them . I also have a spare barrel for a Colt Ace I'd like to thread and adapt as well , but can't find anyone to do it .

I'd love to do it for you, but doubt we could manage...border and all.

Prob'ly true . Had to fill out my first ITAR form last week .
To be clear , I had one of the adaptor nut fellows agree to make me a nut for $65 - ish and I have a machinist here who'll do the barrel for $50 - ish . Well , the adaptor nut fellow won't do the nut without the barrel job , too . I said fine , if it was not much over $50 . He has never responded back , so I guess he wants a lot more . My local guy was willing to make the nut from scratch , but he said he'd have to have a few hundred to pay to set up to do it as he's not into those .

I do that sort of thing on a piece basis, and mostly for yuks...to prove it can be done. That is, if I were doing it...
