    Something for the weekend sir?

    Afternoon all,

While wading through my system looking for Sten pictures today I was diverted down nostalgia street, I found one of my old L1A1 family group photographs, all these rifles have long moved on to other owners since.

Four ex NZ Lithgows and a BSA, the Lithgowicon at the top has rare Slazenger handguards, wish I had kept those!

I thought I would share the inch pattern goodness.

    'Something for the weekend...'

Outstanding photo, both the subjects and the execution.

I wonder if those outside the UKicon, or even some of our younger readers, understand the thread title?

I do, but only recently, due to an anecdote by Peter.

Evening Charlie, thanks for the kind words, I forgot about this picture, some lovely examples there, alas they had to head off in different directions...

I must ask my barber the next time I get my hair cut, he's all of 21 and I am sure he won't have the foggiest!

Cheers Kevin, wish I swapped out the Slaz hand-guards before I let the top Lithgowicon go, rare as hens teeth here in the UKicon, never seen another pair come to think of it!

    Any new arrivals with you?

Ever come across MA67-marked solid handguards?

I'll have to take a look at what I have left of my L1 parts, been meaning to sort out, stock check and catalogue the remaining bits, mainly Lithgowicon furniture and a few handguard sets are still in there.

My home work shop is going to be a kitchen extension, she who must be obeyed has given me notice to clear out!
