Good afternoon,
I have some questions about my late fathers Lee Enfield No4 mk1 rifle. He served in Korea with it with the 1st battalion PPCLI and then when he re-mustered to the airforce as a safety systems tech, he used it to compete with. He was a "green shot" when he won his first shooting competition in Winnipeg in 1958. Anyway, my question surround whether this is a sniper version form 1943. It has his original Parker Hale c5 sight and what I am told is a sling bracket for snipers found right behind the magazine. I do have pictures of the rifle and all the numbers I can find. One bit of info I have been told is that this gentleman was not surprised that the numbers on the bolt did not match the numbers on the rifle as competitive shooters would mix and match bolts and rifles. Anyway, if someone could inform me as to how I could upload pictures to the site then I would be happy to share them with you. The rifle still retains all the original wood and has a brass shoulder piece. Look forward to hearing from you all. Thanks in advance for your time.Information
