    A Christmas shopping distraction.

While trying to make a start with my Christmas shopping today I got distracted and ended up with this. This was caused by an inability to pass an Antique shop without having a look inside.

The marking resembles mine. Sort of...

I think Santa would approve. As long as any significant other receives a gift of comparable value.

I like the way you think. A friend found an empty scabbard for his Patton Saber at a show a couple of weekends ago.
Don't think Santa or his wife knows about that purchase. But when is the last time you saw one?

Just the scabbard? Never, but the curio shop down town here had two swords complete a couple years ago...or so.

I asked the shop to wrap it up well with paper and tape because I didn't want to get arrested on the walk back to my car. I wonder if what looks like "64" could be the year it was made?

I took mine to be a rack number like the way a rifle is marked.
