I've had my Garand for decades and have been reloading for her for decades. Have been using the same load (168gr BT over 48.5gr 4064) for the past many years with no problems whatsoever, good accuracy, no operating problems. Now all of a sudden she has started denting cases near the neck. There are two types of dents, as shown in the photos, one type in the shoulder, one type below the shoulder. One of the cases has both types of dents. These cases came from my latest range session. Again, no feed or ejection problems, very good accuracy, just nine dented cases out of 40 fired.
Can someone shed light on what would cause this and what I can do to fix it? Also, will these dents fire out next time I fire the round? Thanks in advance for any help.Information
