Thought some of you might enjoy a few pictures of my 1860's vintage Eli Whitney Navy model revolver. This is a Union Navy issue piece as witnessed by the anchor stamping on the barrel directly in front of the frame. These .36 caliber revolvers were nickel plated as a rust deterrent, bore and chambers are mirror bright indicating little to no use. Some Colt issue 51 Navy revolvers were actually tinned rather than nickel plated
