1958 Manufactued Spainish Model 1943 Mauser

I was looking through my rifles yesterday when I saw a Spainish Model 43 mauser that I purchased seven years ago. I know pictures are the last word, and I will attempt to get some posted. The only way to describe the rifle is it looks absolutely brand new. There are a few minor handling marks on it, but the rest of the rifle shines. Mint bore, mint wood, bolt shines, proof marks are clear on metal and stock.Inside metal areas look as good and same as outside of rifle. Serial is 2P-9xxx. Does not look like a refurb or refinished in any way at all. On the receiver the date 1958 is clear and the factory coat of arms, etc. I thought this model was completed before 1958. Also, there are no import marks on the rifle. Only thing missing is the cleaning rod and also a suitable period sling if anyone can help me locate these. In 50 years of collecting, I've seen many Spainish 43 mausers. My first high powered rifle was an M43 I bought in 1968 for $50.00 at K-Mart! Most of them have looked pretty "experienced." When I saw this rifle in the pawn shop, I had to do a doubletake.

Sounds like a nice rifle. I have several Span.43's all with different dates. My understanding is that 1958 was the last year for the 43 and after that they started taking the 43's and converting them into FR8's.
