Creedmoore Sports 1903a4

So my intention had originally been to convert a 1903a3 to an a4-gery. But when I finally got my Remmy a3, between how smooth the bolt is and how nice the trigger is I just couldn't bring myself to rape it, despite it screaming that it would be a great candidate. So I decided to start gathering parts to have a gunsmith build one for me... However, as I'm adding up the cost of just the parts I'm within $250-300 of the cost of Creedmoore Sports a4. So I have 2 questions...

1) What's the opinion of Creedmoore Sports rifles? Is there anything I should know?

2) With only a $250 difference before sending the parts off to be put together, is it worth it to continue to go the parts route vs just ordering the rifle outright?

I just got my 1903A4 last week from Creedmoor. I have put about 50 rounds thought it. What I can tell you so far is this. The scope seems OK. The screws for the scope base mount are soft and I ripped the threads off of them with no force at all. The receiver is fine. I bought new screws and bolted it up tight and it is good to go. It is not wild about some 54 dated US ball ammo that Dad had around. My first reloads with RL16 and 3 different 168 gr bullets were ok. Out of 5 shot groups with Sierra and Hornady A-Max, both were under 2" 3 shots out of each 5 shot group were well under an inch, so I need to start playing around and I think I can get it close to an inch. The groups were at 100 yards. The scope is really clear in my opinion for what it is. The trigger is pretty nice. I am a little concerned that it might be too light for the CMP 4.5 lb limit. I need to check it. The bolt was a little gritty to start with, even though I cleaned it first. By 50 rounds it is pretty smooth. All and all, I think it is a pretty nice rifle and most likely will shoot better than what you can build unless you re-barrel your rifle. I still need to put some rounds through mine yet to give a good report. I am happy with the rifle and with Creedmoor's people. Although I do plan to complain about the scope mount screws. For $1,700 you would think they could go ahead and replace the crappy screws that came with the Chinese repo mount with some good ones.

I have been working with my new A4. I was playing around with RL16 and Sierra 168 match kings. This was the best group. Now to recreate it. It shoots pretty good, but definitely likes that amount of powder. Worked up and down by .2 grains.

I have had no issues with my 03A4 from Creedmoor. Put about 75 rounds through her and no complaints. I did, however, have to drive back up there to trade mine out as the stock on the first one wasn't finished properly. Other than that, no issues. Shoots well, hits the target, tight grouping.
